Try downloading the same version from flex then drop the .exe file from this package and overwrite the original it should work
Also i have since found out this only works on the 1 watt version when I bought the 100 watt I found it does not key the 100 watt pa you can remove it and run an external amp or modify the internal for manual key not reccomended because it needs to select proper filtering to through software I have not been able to find in the code what controls the amp yet

they must have removed it but I just tried it with 2.3.5 and it worked you can also drop the dll from that package into my package overwriting the pa19.dll that's there or download the attached file just rename it from .zip to .dll

I have already tried that software does not work with SDR 1000 it is for soft rock and a few different other SDR radios as far as the anan a friend in my neighborhood bought one great radio and wide open no patches or jumping through hoohoops like with flex an an will most likely be the demise of flex the company is better in every aspect including customer service

That card may some people have even got onboard sound to work the card is more then capable but it needs enough inputs and outputs I had a delta44 and went to an fa66 got it for 30 bucks on amazon it works great also got a USB to printer port adapter and use it with windows7 only works with 32 bit version

I found a copy of the file here http://svn.tapr.org/repos_sdr_hpsdr/trunk/W5WC/PowerSDR_Installers/Archive/ but it does not work I tried 5 or 6 different ones from there none work they are for anan hpsdr and hermes radios

Still don't work has sdr1000 as an option but doesn't work trust I've been through most of the software out there did this for a year until I finally emailed flex and asked them for the source code the first version I post the older power SDR will work if you have the 100 watt version or the 1 watt version it works just as good as the new version just not as pretty what I did is I run 1 watt radio driving a 20 watt external amp I built then into a 150 multiband amp with band filtering then into an alpha with 3 steel tubes

With the older version you do need to install an older version from flex first to get the proper printer port drivers

Hi will any of these work with a flex 1500 ?
Or is it just a case of try and find out.

doughboy

I use it everyday it you must have the 100 watt version it will not key the pa in the 100 watt version but the 1 watt version will work

doughboy
02-04-2015, 09:03 AM
The older version will work on the 100 watt model

doughboy

No the flex 1500 needs special firmware loaded to the radio

doughboy

Are you getting an error message I actually use 2.5.3 now but I threw this in to try it and it works even with a factor copy of pa19.DLL also tried it standalone on a machine that's never seen powersdr and it works how do you know its not working are you getting a popup or just no output what are too you measuring output with the radio by itself barely does a half a watt on 11 meters maybe the meters not sensitive enough?

doughboy
02-05-2015, 04:50 PM
Yes I said it does not work with the 100 watt pa if you key it with that software outside the ham bands it will not let the in built flex 100 watt pa if the pa is eliminated in other words the basic 1 watt flex exciter fed to the antenna output it will transmit you are transmitting when you do that you transmitting into a pa that is not engaging and if you keep doing it you could burn out the radios exciter

doughboy
02-05-2015, 04:52 PM
This is why mine works I have no inbuilt flex amp I have the 1 watt radio and it feeds into an external 15 watt amp then a 200 watt amp then my two steel tube amp

doughboy
02-05-2015, 09:23 PM
Yes it is all filtered and the final amp is an alpha I run everything with lots of overhead I like a clean signal with crisp clean audio I do cb and hold an extra class license I don't like to run audio pig splatter boxes lol and the an an are great radios that's the way I'm going to I'm just trying to let them work some more bugs out my buddy down the road here bought itsthe 100 watt its a great radio
