While LED's can be annoying for room lighting, I love them in my radio. They make the gauges crisp and clear to read.

On my RCI 2980 I have put 2 behind each rack handle. I painted the LED grey and sanded just a tad of an opening to shine on the face plate. it looks like a WWII airplane cockpit. Just enough lighting to see the knobs in the dark.

If you put the LEDs in the Cobra 2000 gauges, I'm sure you will like the improved clarity.

That's a good idea, I seen some that did seem bright and white-ish looking..The grayish look would be better..Thanks

I drive trucks and the super white can get annoying. I took a sharpie and tinted the bottom of the gauge to cut the glare, but the center is really nice. If you are looking for tint, maybe some art tinting glaze from whatever hobby store would give you a custom color.

Maybe a reddish tint would look cool....Change it up a bit..

<thinking sick thorts> How about one of the LED's out of those pens that just constantly change color. I think you can get them in a solar powered back patio lighting as well. What? Too much? hehehe Hey, It's Halloween. I get to be nutz.
