Hello everyone. I am looking for information regarding the inner electronic workings of a radio. If anyone could recommend a book for basic electronic circuits and components I would be grateful. Would like to start repairing my own rigs instead of shipping them all over the country.
Thanks for all recommendations in advance.

I guess you could start a google search for " radio transceiver theory". Many circuits combined to create intermediate frequencies before any intelligence(voice/data) is applied in numerous methods to modulate the RF signal. Solid state makes it easier to replace and more compact.
