Is it possible to make a director and a reflector using quad magnet mounts six feet apart with the from magnet hot and the rear magnet short grounded, so that you don't have to drill. I would like to make a mobile beam set up and wondered if anybody has ever heard if it has been done, and if it worked. Please give me some feedback.

anything is possible you have to go kind of high up above the roof in order to work properly for starters . people have been doing that for many years now yes .

well for 1/4 wave lengths or lower you will be lower than 9 feet. if they are ride around antenna's the antenna height will be much lower somewhere around 6 to 7 feet because they have coils . if you put up fighting sticks they will be higher a bit because they dont have a coil . try different things and have fun . if ya roofs real long try going 9 feet apart with 2 real long antenna's past 12 feet long . and smack people with a dam 1 pill or 2 pill . lol lol lol lol :playingsmiley:

a buddy of mine used to run a setup like what you're talking about with the trimags for mounting. while crude, it was fairly effective.

you can use mag mounts.

Mag mounts will work- capacitance may be a little screwey and cause higher reactance, but still should work fine
