For mag mounts, I'm still a fan of the Wilson 1000. I have one on a Pontiac vibe right now.

Firestik K-11 Magnet Mount is my choice. A very strong magnet. Ive two attaching to steel base disks so strongly theyre quite difficult to detach. I use 5 foot Firestick(s) IIs on them. Only 3' extends above the cab. One 10M the other 11M.

another option is to get a 3 or 4 mag mount and use a 10K no solder or different metals to oxidize and cause shorts . replace the (typically) crappy stud with a quality fat SS one .
