Stryker a10 question

I just got a stryker 655 and ordered an a10 mirror mount to go with it. I ended up with 2, and yes I paid for the other one, but this got me thinking. Is there any benefit to running dual antennas to the radio other than looks? Keep in mind that this is on my semi and beyond a bearcat is a totally new world for me. Simply, total newbie here. Lol

If I remember right dual will make it directional to the front.. i would like to know how the antennas do i am looking at them aswell
