I was thinking about putting a 1/2 wave in my attic but had thoughts about radiating my house. Is there health concerns with this? Thanks

unless someone exist in a faraday cage .... we are all bombarded all day every day by radio waves from communication broadcast and other sources . . if it caused any real heath risk folks wouldn't be allowed to work or live near those sources (microwave systems can be different FWIU though) . antennas will perform better above or clear of structures , but folks do use them in attics . most anything can be made to work but some things definitely work better than other things .

It might work best if you can make it an inverted Vee so it will have both vertical and horizontal energies.

Half wave dipole made out of copper pipe to maximize skin effect and bandwidth. Works good lasts long time. You’re not gonna grow a fourth nipple or extra ear it’ll be fine.

I've got a Falcon 2400 dipole in my attic...inverted V mounted against Gable end of house...talked to England, Germany and Trinidad y'day on 385 LSB. Barefooted Roadpro Titan II radio...

Edit: moved dipole out of the attic and ran it vertical up a tree beside the house today...much better transmission and receive tonight...also hooked up my HR2510 that I just got back from Rogerbird
