Howdy from New Mexico.
Been in CB Radio since 1973 and was very active as a REACT member for many years until it faded away.
I had at that time a fairly good rig ( for military pay) a Pierce Simpson Panther SSB radio, a Turner Plus-3 microphone and a tube amp for emergency use.
Now retired, I use a CB radio for off-road 4-wheeling to keep in touch with other club members since there is little to no cell service where we ride.

Albuquerque!!!! I love those mountains there. I used to do some contract work at Kirtland AFB a number of years ago.

I'm big into off-roading now that I have some free time. My primary off-road vehicles are trail scooters. These are mini bikes designed for serious trail riding in the mountains. I have a collection of them from 1949 to 2003 manufactured,
You can ride these scooters in places you could never take a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Nothing like riding in my mountains at 9,000 feet ASL. The views are impressive.

I use to ride my motorcycle in the mountains when I lived in southern California and you could mess your pants looking over the edge of some of them. LOL
