Nice pic's...But you managed to get your antenna right in the middle of each picture! I was going to use one as a screen saver but that ol stick antenna was right in the middle.

He had Kale Cavel at Cowtown Antenna's (Builder of the Predator 10K) make it...

Bulldog was selling them at one time, calling it "Freedom antenna"...sorta pricey at $80 or $90, + S&H... with no whip.

I have an arrangement with Cowtown Antennas and Kale makes these for me. Several years ago I wanted a long shaft to slide a whip in. Felt that replacing 3' of the stainless steel whip with 3' of aluminum would provide a stiffer posture, give is a new look and may provide an advantage RX/TX when in motion. Actually anyone can make they own. It is almost like a fighting stick. I do not lay claim to the original idea but it first started as a need for my mobile set up. So far it is my go to, primary antenna. 555 Big Horn has one too! The corona ball is made by Gunny in California. By joining the two products along with a cut 102" to 80" you can adjust a lot for your needs.

The $90.00 includes shipping within the 48 states. All orders come with insurance and confirmation. Due to reports of others in the past of having issues with USPS, UPS and FedEx I have invested in quality shipping materials.

Bulldog how do they ship antennas i need to ship yours still but i cant seem to find anything to pack it in someone suggest i put inside a 1 inch pvc and cap it label it and mail it they have tubes at staple but not long enough tried to hook two together but it wasnt very strong

I did this video about a year ago. Invested some $$$ in the shipping tubes, bubble wrap, roll of fragiel and made in USA labels. The PVC tube is good and the two tubes only work if you get a third tube to slide in the center to add strength. Gets to be costly. Big time antenna companys have custom shipping materials and buy in bulk. Need to include materials in with the price of the product.

PVC pipe may work...But the USPS may want to look inside to make sure your not shipping a pipe-bomb...Then when they see all that coiled-up aluminum tubing they may still call in the Bomb Squad to blow the thing up anyway!:300 (193):

Good point on the pipe bomb thing especially in this day of paranoia

Guess you could always write something on the outside, stating that there's a "Radio Antenna" inside...

I bought a coiled antenna years ago from a on-line company thats not around anymore, and that was the way they shipped it to me. It came UPS in a 4" PVC pipe, and the end caps were just taped on (not glued)...That was after 911, but before all the "White Powder" scares...

I would think you could still mail it that way tho...Just may have to let them look inside first.

yeah you been out of radio before you got that antenna silly !!!!!!!!!!

That's very true. But I was going on a lengthy road trip so I thought to throw the radio back in for the ride. Radio is out and the antenna is off...has been for some time now and there's no plans to put it back in.

Quick note: the Sirio Performer 5000 is a great mobile antenna. it blows away the Wilson 5k in tuning, TX & RX. It's very broadbanded and it's much sleeker and cooler looking.
