Hello all
I have a question I've put up an Spt-500 and my swr readings using a AA-35 Zoom are CH-1= 1.36, CH-20= 1.10, and CH-40= 1.19.
Without the RigExpert I'm getting the same readings on my independent swr meter also when modulating the swr swings down while watts swing up I wanted to know would it be a wise idea to try and get swr lower or leave it alone.
this is the very 1st antenna I put together I'm new to this aspect of radio this is a major difference from the A-99 which is simple as 123 and it's up.
For a heads up I know the top section of the Penetrator has to be adjusted but my question is how much and I believe if Ch-1 is higher than Ch-40 the antenna I have to make it longer how much longer is the question.
Current dimensions of antenna: L= 22.6 1/4"
Each Radial= 103"

In my experience, those readings are acceptable. You could lengthen the feed point, gamma match, just a small amount, 1/16 inch.

I wouldn’t worry much, I believe anything better would be negligible.
