I am using a Shure SM58 microphone through a Behringer Xenyx 1002FX mixer. In the process of learning the adjustments and its abilities, did a little shopping on foam microphone covers. Depending on the brand and style it changes the overall look. The foam may have different densities and color. A ball style microphone head requires the right foam cover for a tight fit down to the throat. It is good to have a set up to monitor your signal/modulation to hear the effect of each cover. A few friends on stand by will help with other on air tests. Here are a few microphone covers I got. I favor the Signal Flex one, Bulldog.
