funny how by todays standards the titanic is just a dingy sized boat i saw the queen mary 2 in ny harbor at work one day it sounded it's horn and it shook the buildings it was the biggest ship i have ever seen like a floating city

My last 2 cruises were both bigger than titanic. Still, for 1914 standards shr was built like a brick shithouse, just not enough bricks

quite amazing , the technology of the day
have seen somewhere a copy of the triple expansion steam engines similar to that was used on the titanic , and the britanic and the lustitainia

Not true...Bricks don't float...Think maybe the Titanic had too many bricks!

There is still concrete boats floating.... as in engines, cb's alternators, and in boats this still rings true.... It's all about displacement. LOL.... Sorry JJD I had to on this one.
