Just wondering who's used one and how you like it? I was gonna get one for my 29 but somebody told me the other day you had to drive it with a dual final radio. Anybody know anything about this?

My father put one on a galaxy he said it works good but its closer to a stand alone linear then the rfx75 is more of an amp attached to the radio but easier to hookup or remove

I have one installed on my general lee it puts out 130 watts pep nomal speech modulation about 150watts wistleing into the mike with the gain turned up. Low power switch on radio 2watts gives a 15watt dk 100watt pep from the rfx150. The high power set at 6watts gives a 40watt dk 130watt pep. yeah it works well 2 months with the install. It will not give as much with a stock final cobra 29 my tech tried it.

Just wondering who's used one and how you like it? I was gonna get one for my 29 but somebody told me the other day you had to drive it with a dual final radio. Anybody know anything about this? You only need a standard CB to drive it. In the instructions it says to set the output to 40 or 45 watts dead key. the way they have it phrased makes people think you need big watts to drive it. I'll see if I can find the instructions and post them on here. Here is a link to the instructions. cbtricks.com/miscellaneous/accessories/palomar/graphics/RFX150%20Installation%20Guide.pdf Step #14 clarifies that to some degree in that output over that level will cause damage.
