Man the skip was rolling like crazy over here in SI. I heard 007 over in Maine coming in good and clear. I didn't get to make any contacts due to begin on the radio for only a minute or two:(

Around 745 eastern tonight. I managed to get into Jolly Green Giant or something like that in the carolinas on 20. As well as another from that area on 26. Skip rolled for a bit tonight. Im impressed with how my 2000 has been operating barefoot with the antron. Had an excellent report too on how well my galaxy echo rb desk mic sounded too.

How are those mics? I've heard they are great space savers and have great performance.

I don't really notice anything space wise as I've got lots of space on my desk anyways. But so far the reports on it were good. I have the echo at a 3-5 level and the power at just under 10. Combined with the mic gain on the radio at a 2 o'clock position. I would say it probably sounds nice an loud an clear. Not too much echo for distorting either.

I have a friend that it sounded much more of a fuller sound then my d104.

Nice! I've heard operators turn their echo up to high and it sounds terrible.
