    Cobra 25 with a Wilson 1000 Antenna

I am about to take a road trip from Texas to Florida I got a peak and tuned Cobra 25 on a Wilson 1000 antenna (Magnet Mount) I got a shooting Star 225 amp in line too, and a Astatic D-104 mic I also have a RF Limited (Magnum) Xtreme 2018 EC-2018XTR MIC my question is which mic do you think will work better meaning LOUD and good modulation ? I be using it primary for keeping up with traffic and road conditions along the way and not so much for talking skip. (DX)

    Thank You
Living in Central Texas, my CB handle is Gearbox and my DX call sign is 222 Triple Duce.

Both are power Mic's...But the 2018 has the NC feature on it so if it get's noisy, you can flip on the NC switch...

IF you already have both...I would take both with you...Stick one in the glove compartment as a spare...Heck, from Texas to Florida is a long drive...You could do "Radio Checks" along the way, swapping out Mic's and asking people which one sounds the best!

Make a game of it! Ask 3 or 4 people in Texas which sounds the best, then 3 or 4 people in Louisiana, and so fourth in each State you drive threw...

That isn't always reliable. It is funny to think but true, you could ask which one sounds better and not change it out at all. 8 of 10 people will swear that one sounded better than the other.
