    cobra 40x

I picked up a cobra 40x for free today. It powers up, receives, and talks. Does anyone know much on these radios?

Never heard of one, but that doesn't mean anything. Did you try the internet yet?

Well that answered my question good enough. I think I'll save this little radio. I'm going to repaint the covers to it. They look terrible.

Yeah it would. I've got a browning LTD, 23 channel lake, Cobra 40x, old Aries swr meter which I'm going to repair, different sets of coax, connectors, an antenna, mounts, and an amp. None of my gear is younger then 10 years old other than my current antenna and coax. I might possibly Be getting an old base radio if I can work out a deal with the guy.

Its a great hobby... Till you have so much stuff your friends start calling you a hoarder. Then its hilarious because they don't understand the joy of CB radios
