Hey chewy how do those 2547's work barefoot? I'm thinking if I go with an actual base radio it will be one of those and the galaxy base mic with echo.

A friend of mine got one about a month ago. Had the clarifier opened and a variable instslled. He runs it barefoot and it does very well. Not the best audio I've ever heard but he's running a stock mic

Hey caveman I can get an 8 watts deadkey swings about 30 and take it down to 2 watts deadkey with the RF gain I have talked 7 miles on 2 watts the thing I like the most is the built-in power supply I hear its the same as a 959 with a few extra features

The circuit board is the same as a DX959, if I'm not mistaken. The 2547 is a great radio. Just my 2 cents.
