    Faint beep on Rci 2990

I have a rci 2990 with a turner plus 3 desk mic. When the radio is keyed it has a beep just barely enough to hear and when you un key it is the same. The roger beep is turned off. Can someone tell me what the problem is? Is it the radio or microphone. Any help is appreciated.

Your roger beep might not be shutting off completely. My galaxy 44v does that every once in awhile.

Thanks caveman. I am going to call my radio guy today if he is open and see if he has any other suggestions. It really doesn't bother me other than I do not want ot mess something up in the radio.

It's more likely to be caused by feedback getting in your radio or mic. Double check all your coax connections tp make sure they're tight.
