    After all they are both AM...LOL...
    So... Whats the Differance between an
    AM Radio Broadcast Antenna and a CB Antenna???

    all antennas can broadcast on AM .... they just need to play nice with the transmitter/amp sending the the signal SWR wise .
    AM is just one of several modes that can be used when transmitting a signal

    a cb antenna is one with acceptable SWR on the CB band .
    a separate tuner can be used to make a antenna usable on frequencies it won't tune to .

    I saw a guy make a cb antenna out of a piece of wire scotch taped to his office window. With 50 watts on this little setup he is able to lock down the New York City area. It doesn't hurt that his office window is 80+ stories above 5th Ave. But the moral here is that anything can be an antenna
    The military experimented by loaded a TREE with a bunch of power and got it to transmit.

    All antennas can broadcast any mode of operation.
    its the frequency that matters. an 11 meter antenna is 102-108 in long.
    am radio is wayyyyyy down in frequency. its below 160 meters. so an am radio station antenna is 100 or so feet long.
    when you see a radio station, and you see the tower. the tower is the antenna.
