    Lightbulb Rm 505v advice please

    Hi there... Iv been looking at buying the rm505v, can anyone tell me if this is a good amp ? What are its downfalls if any
    And what should I be looking for in a amp.. ? Any better quality avail to AUSTRALIA for $310 ?

    I repair amps and the RM line of amps are very sensitive to being over driven and voltage transients.. If you take care not to over drive it and watch for high peaks in your modulation and you should be good to go. Follow the directions and set it up as directed. Be sure your power lines are up to to the task. Go heavier in gauge than necessary and it should work out just fine.

    Thanks for that. I am aware not to to feed more power to amp than recommend..is that the big one to watch ?. But I'm not sure what
    Transient voltage is or how to monitor / measure it ? Cheers ... Solar radio 351.. Darryl

    When the voltage sags because the power cables aren't up to the task the bias for the transistors gets skewed a bit. I'll check into which type of transistors it runs and I'll get back to you.

    Very handy info guys.. I can get a MF amp are they a better quality than RM ?
