What a looser ! The d104 got hear but like the in line help will not work !

Works but non amplifier style.. no vol difference low or high. But if I remove battery it sounds furry I've been told.. another bin item, I'm so sick of getting ripped off....

Yes all the non-amplified D-104's without battery at bottom are meant for Ham radio's where they have like a pre-amp in them. If you need a base D-104 Silver Eagle, tug-8, or any Eagle must make sure that they are amplified with 9 volt battery in bottom. Also have to make sure that the battery wasn't left in there for years and exploded and destroyed the connector as well as sometimes the circuit board. Also must open up the Mic head and make sure there is a MC-320 Cartridge in it, or it may of been swapped out for a cheaper one that doesn't sound as good. I had that happen many of time but always bought threw Ebay and was protected by Ebays new Buyer protection, so got my money back and didn't even have to pay return shipping. Must always check with sellers on these D-104's Base Mic's and there are alot of different versions but what I said above goes for all USA CB's and Export CB Radio's.
Usually 100% of time when no battery in base mic they are designed for PA Systems and will work well with Ham Radio's. Also have to be careful with the Turner Series Base Mic's.

351 I know a local fellow who has a old D-104 for $40 USD . I bought mine from him. It's just a plain 9V D-104 not a silver eagle or anything special but does work as it's supposed to if your interested. Not the prettiest mic but functional. Let me know.

You can tell it has had years of use.

Just found out that peter in Tassie has his quad, arrived today... I've still heard nothing about mine ordered over 3 weeks ago ! Might just make my own, Totally a crap week. The new ha ha mike is u/s .... That's over $700 in non working second hand "EBay crap" if I had the money I would buy new gear but $300 for a new D104 then $20 to $75 for post depending on how much the seller wants to make on the post too.. saw one $12 post to oz the new nice in case one $75... same item ... Total rip off's ...

Bit of a reassessment of this is in order I think ....

Hey Mate. Forget about that. It is in your past . Get this paper work & you can see what you are building & remember it is brand new not second hand. Also when it is finished you can look at it with pride. In the meantime try & get in touch with Damiem as soon as you can. He will help you sort out all of the troubles you are having at the present moment KIND REGARDS GEORGE 3 ECHO 1
