Will get a better pic tomorrow...

Also got a new in box d104 Astatic mike for $90 :-)
Do you mean an Astatic 575m6, Handheld, D-104 new in box for $90 ?? Because a new D-104 is on;y at most $34.95 and sometimes $ 29.99 for the Hand version. Also not sure if you mean the D-104 Base Silver Eagle which is no longer in production, then that is a great deal for $90 new in box. There are so many versions of the D-104??

Sweet meter 351. Jealous I am about that thing. Sure looks the part hey. Keep up the great work man, you are setting up one nice base station IMO. Can't wait to talk to you, aussie has been coming in very little lately around here, but I am sure when the conditions are right we could slip to another channel. Anyway cheers mate and god bless. 73's

I assume amplified with 9 volt battery, that is a nice mic and new with box definitely worth $90. In my opinion they all sounded the same when it came to the Base D-104 Eagles, all use the MC-320 mic Cartridge, whether a night eagle, golden eagle, silver eagle, or tug8 D-104. All use the same cartridge and had same great audio just cosmetic difference except one of the Night Eagle versions had that roger beep and a 20 db gain on bottom in addition to volume switch. Just keep away from the un-amplified ones think they need some sort of studio pre-amp to boost them up. Bought a couple and sounded terrible by themselves hooked to radio.

Personally like this little meter for about $100, shows forward and reflect power.

Hard to get a pic because of the back lighting on gauge's
Has got forward power reflected power peek, average, swr alarm , over powering the unit alarm, amp power cut off protection,
And more.. gotta learn how to use it now.. bit of a difference with this one with all the power readings and swr changed with it in line, once all in line items are there should I re tune antenna to suit ? Been told to just leave as is but why have gauges if reading is wrong ?
All very trying for a grumpy old man... 351 :-)...

Yes working out what to believe when it comes to swr is a pain... the more in line the more it changes .. do I re tune coil on antenna to suit new set up ?...

Will be getting some real flash gear once boat is sold.. sitting the foundation course soon for first ham ticket, but need to study a bit first.. Then I will be able to afford to buy some nice gear that will last.. I HOPE...

Wow what a disappointing end to the wait.. got my amp and can't get it to work all it will do is turn on and when you key down it makes a rattling sound ? Tryed different power source , jumpers, took out swr meter and antenna switch .. still same noise..

Banging my head on a wall and pay'n for it.. meter saying different to rig...
