Have to make up my mind about this amp as they r low on stock... $380 to my door for the RM 505v ? Is it just another splatter box.. was told good amp if you replace stock power cord ( to light) and don't overdrive the. PLEASE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS AMP ?

it's a clean 200 -250ish watt pep amp . they run a little under $300 . if you want more power a TS 500v is about $400 and will do 500 clean watts pep . bothe will need to be converted for modulated signals , but that's typically included for those prices .

Look into the TNT line as well 351, the 600HD would work well with your setup IMO, and not be over driven. That or get a straight 4 pill xforce. Leave the 1 pill driver stage alone, more problems. I see that the bottom amp says high drive. Well it's not as it has a driver section already, and the midnight specials don't do well on ssb as they are a class c amp. The TNT amps are biased b, and I believe the xforce amps are as well. If not go for the TNT line. Like I said the 600HD with the grant 2 behind it should produce 4-500 clean watts. And not be overdriven. This is JMO. Ask around a bit. God bless and hope to talk to you soon on the air!! 73's mate.

Thanks 222... I like the texas star 667v if i can't get it hear or its too hard, i will look at the x400 like in pic above but they have low and high drive same as above .. Its a 5 pill , tell me what you think of it, the x400m that is 222 .. You obviously know a bit more than me about amps mate, slight different number for the low drive one... Can you have a look at xforce site at details.. I would hate to buy wrong one and miss match.. Cheers 222 :-)

The Texas star 667v is a good amp too, I just like the new TNT line better. Get one with real toshiba 2879's and ssb delay and I promise you will get good reports. Same amp is what I am running basically, mine is a 2 pill magnaforce 350hd, same as the TNT 350hd. Good for 200-350 clean watts. The midnight specials are biased c or class c amp and not very good for ssb use. The xforce m400 may say hd, but I promise if there is a driver (5th) pill, it is a low drive amp. Not that that is bad, I just prefer to stick to amps with no driver section, less to go wrong and with the straight 4 pill you can put some watts into it without ever overdriving it. JMO ask around maybe ask tallman his opinion as well. God bless and hope to hear from you soon.

SSB delay can be added if necessary. Cant go wrong here and it will keep it's resale value. This will run off your stock charging system as well.
