Hi will any of these work with a flex 1500 ?
Or is it just a case of try and find out.
I use it everyday it you must have the 100 watt version it will not key the pa in the 100 watt version but the 1 watt version will work
The older version will work on the 100 watt model
No the flex 1500 needs special firmware loaded to the radio
Are you getting an error message I actually use 2.5.3 now but I threw this in to try it and it works even with a factor copy of pa19.DLL also tried it standalone on a machine that's never seen powersdr and it works how do you know its not working are you getting a popup or just no output what are too you measuring output with the radio by itself barely does a half a watt on 11 meters maybe the meters not sensitive enough?
Yes I said it does not work with the 100 watt pa if you key it with that software outside the ham bands it will not let the in built flex 100 watt pa if the pa is eliminated in other words the basic 1 watt flex exciter fed to the antenna output it will transmit you are transmitting when you do that you transmitting into a pa that is not engaging and if you keep doing it you could burn out the radios exciter
This is why mine works I have no inbuilt flex amp I have the 1 watt radio and it feeds into an external 15 watt amp then a 200 watt amp then my two steel tube amp
Yes it is all filtered and the final amp is an alpha I run everything with lots of overhead I like a clean signal with crisp clean audio I do cb and hold an extra class license I don't like to run audio pig splatter boxes lol and the an an are great radios that's the way I'm going to I'm just trying to let them work some more bugs out my buddy down the road here bought itsthe 100 watt its a great radio
