    Power Meter Suggestion

Can anybody suggest a good swr/watt meter? I'm looking to upgrade from my little Workman SWR-2T, but I'm not wanting to spend $100 on something I'll only use occasionally. I'm not running any huge amounts of power, so all my dealings are going to be at less than 100 watts, and in most cases less than 10 watts.

I'm currently looking at the Astatic PDC2:
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...A2IHVTQHK5SYKV

And it seems to have mostly positive reviews, but I have never owned one. I'm looking for something like this little Workman SWR meter I have that will also read power, is at least somewhat accurate, but won't break the bank.

    Any suggestions?

Found a similar meter that only had one meter instead of two. I've been wondering why some of these Astatic and Workman meters have two meter faces.

If you want a good meter, pony up the cash and buy a Bird 43. If you want to be massaged and feel like a champ with your 2 pill...buy a Dosy.

The radio shack swr/watt meters aren't too bad. But Gordon speaks the truth. You get what you pay for.

I ordered one of the PDC2 meters off ebay today with a 3' jumper and field antenna for just under $27 & free delivery. Not saying it's good or bad just you can get it cheaper with the jumper at ebay.

I bet that meter would do anything I ever needed. But unfortunately it's out of my price range for a meter right now.

    Thanks

Try the radio shack swr/watt meter, 40 dollars and are a better meter than the truck stop type meters. They work great for mobile or base and can handle some watts as well. JMO.

I've looked at these. The Radio Shack website is out, but there's a few on Amazon, so I may order one. At least it looks a little less like a re-branded copy.
