    antenna question

i have this ground plane antenna similar to this ...

turns out the antenna is 20 meter .

now my question is , if i remove the steel whip and replace it with a 102' whip will i have changed the antenna to 11 meter ?

have a laugh , i understand can i use copper instead of steel ? i appreciate your help , thanks

Wish I knew but I expect you know a LOT more about this stuff than I do. You could try it and see I guess just be quick when keying down to test.

    Good luck

you will need 1/4 wave length ground elements for a 1/4 wave vertical . that's 108 inches on the CB band .

No he means the 4 ground plane rods need to be 108" as well as the top whip section I would suppose. It might be easier to just buy a new antenna. You may be able to fab it up to work, booty monster what is the best way to go about this in your opinion??
