    Newbie cb questions

Ok so I've had a cb for years. Recently tho I moved to bc and learnt about skipping. On 4 watts I've contacted many different areas. But now I want a linear amp lol. What wattage is respectable to have? And to be heard like the skippers.

I would start with something in the 200w range...When you start going more than 200-300w's, then you have to start thinking about electrical up-grades to your ride. (if this is for a mobile install)

I've probable talk as much skip with a stock 4 watt radio as I have running lots of power. There's generally going to be someone out there that will talk over you with some big strapping amp anyhow. Why not have fun and see how many you can contact barefooted?

So true, and there's some out there that will not talk to you no matter how strong your signal is,
it just happens, keep trying and have fun doing it. 3's to you/yours and good evening.
