    Noise in 10 meter radio

    I have a general lee 10 meter radio driving a 2006 mack the swrs are below 1.5 and have been told people can hear me for miles but when I try to open it up to hear further all i get is noise I'm using a Wilson 2000 antenna also.. what is the best coax to run for this and any ideas on how to cut back the noise ?

    For mobile coax, I would recommend Times Microwave LMR-240 Ultra Flex. Google "MPD Digital" they are based out of GA (also are on eBay). They can put together anything you need and have great customer service.

    I would also check to make sure your antenna is grounded properly.
