    Bought a Uniden PC66XL, wise buy ?

I went in to goodwill looking for a weighing scale and came out with a Uniden PC66XL. Been thinking about setting up a CB in the truck for a long time, so bought it on the spur of the moment. Want to know if it's any good as a starter unit. Paid a huge amount for it, $2.93, so if it's a no-go, i'll just skip starbucks for a day.

Well I would say if it works its a good starter radio. As I have found in my short re-start time in CB it's the antenna that makes the big difference! Get a good antenna. Maybe post up in the Introduction Thread and see what others have to say. That seems to be where most of the action is right now on the forum.

Heck ya you did good if you only paid $3 for it and it works!! Good AM radios that are easy to mod. Why can't I ever find deals like this LOL!!!
