    No. You need an external VSWR/watt meter to tune the antenna. Or an antenna analyzer. If you can find a reputable CB shop, one that has an analyzer, take it there and have them tune the antenna.
    There are several issues as JJD and others have stated. As far as using the radio, I would not use it with the VSWR (SWR) readings above 1.3:1-1.5:1 with that radio.
    Go buy a cheap radio and stick in the truck for tuning the antenna and also if the cheap one blows, you're not out a bunch of money!! JMHO.

    If the radio has a SWR feature you can use that, but in general that's not that accurate. Best way is with a in line meter...
