    Kenwood st 450

Having a problem with my Kenwood. When I put the radio in CW mode it reads CWR and the amp meter should read
90 Ma. I get no reading when I increase the power level. Does anyone know what CWR is and is this my problem
    Thanks. 73

CWR stands for CW Reverse. Here is what it does per the manual page 28.
The BFO frequency changes from USB to LSB if "9" (REV), on numeric keypad is pressed during CW reception. This allows the following:
    1. Beat- frequency interference can be reduced.
    2. The beat tone changes from low to high when tuning control is turned clockwise (the receive frequency goes high), improving operability.
If the receive frequency is the same (zero in state), as the transmit frequency of the destination station, the receive and transmit tones do not change even is the BFO frequency is in reverse mode.

This excerpt was taken from the Kenwood ts450s manual from page 28 regarding CW operation.

Here is the link to the manual. Hope this helps.
