    Brake Warnimg Light

My buddy put a CB in his Jayco Seneca RV and when he keys the mic his brake warning light comes on and beeps. We have required the radio to the battery for both ground and hot wires and the radio has been check in and out of the mounting brackets. Any advice?

what radio?...are you also running a amp?

It's probably stray RF illuminating the light bulb...seen this before when running power...not so much with just a regular 4w CB tho.

It’s just your standard cobra 29 cb that he bought at a truck stop. No amp. The light on the dash comes on and a warning beep goes off. We are thinking maybe something to do with the factory installed coax cable that he using. Not sure of that would make it do this or not.

Easy enough to find out...just get another piece of coax and hook to the antenna and see if it still does it or not.
