Base amps are going to cost ya a little bit more since they have their own power supply...Not many guys building base boxs, I think BBi is, and Davemade Mobi has some Davemade Base Amps listed, but your going to pay out the wa-zoo for one... XForce use to build decent base amps, but they are gone...

For the base, I run old tubes amps I found on ebay like the Palomar 300A and a R.F. Linear "Kicker 500", things are 30-40 years old and still kicking! Tubes have got a little pricey now, but they last forever it seems like.

Don't know about the 150...I've seen the Contex 2- tube base amps before...They are ok, about as good as any-other sweep tube amp if they tubes are still good...Think one on ebay went for around $100 not too long ago.

Went back this morning to the resale shop and bought that Contex 150 Amplifier(got it Cheap!) It uses 4-6JG6A Tubes and is a A/C base amp. This model was marketed by more than one company..IE..ABC/Apollo/Contex/Ecko/OSM. Contex series 150, Model 6915, 25-40Mhz. I figured..**** its worth saving!
