    President Ronald SSB

Okay so maybe I'm a dummy. But this radio can be "unlocked" to access 11m. When I look at this datasheet it looks like the radio can access the USB and LSB frequencies. So that should mean it can transmit and receive SSB right???

I'm not very well versed in these things. I plan on getting my ham license soon but... I'm super curious...

NO...The President Ronald is just a 10/12 Meter AM/FM radio...(No SSB), but Yes, it can be modified for 11 Meter...Just not SSB....

But if it can reach the same frequencies... Wouldn't that mean it can use SSB?

It doesn't have SSB mode...Trying to get that radio to also have SSB would be about like trying to get SSB on a Cobra 29...not going to happen.

The New President McKinley EU has ssb and can be modded for the funny channels tho...Just have to order it from a UK site... Knights CB has them and will ship to the US.

So on the image I just attached to this message. Are the low and upper frequencies SSB frequencies?

I'm just trying to understand is all. SSB is just specific frequencies I think. So if that radio COULD get to the specific frequencies of the LSB and USB then it could technically use SSB?

All that chart is showing is the channels below and above the regular 11 meter/CB frequencies... (10-12 Meter channels)
