    Cold Problems

    Hi all,

The cold is starting to set in here in MN and my Uniden Pro 520XL is acting up. My Jeep sits outside, and every morning when I go out to leave for school I turn on the CB. With this cold weather, the radio turns on but I get no volume and the mic doesn’t register that I’m talking. During the day at school the radio sits in the sun all day and when I leave for school it usually works fine. Can anyone help?

    Thanks,
    Will

That’s not a bad idea. I just figured even though it’s cold the CB should still work fine.

depending on just how cold were talking, some electronics just slow down when it gets below freezing...a small space heater would probably solve the problem.

Some of the circuit board must be shrinking enough to short things out. While it's cold, a heat gun might localize the area to be checked out.
