JJD I found a site called palomar enginners and they have a set of 6 tubes for $210.00 Have you ever checked this site out or does anyone know anything about them? https://palomar-engineers.com/tube-sets

I've seen that site, but I wouldn't put a lot of stock in it....I'm pretty sure it's a old out-dated site that never got taken down...I can promise you those tubes will cost you well over $210 for 6...

Could be wrong...I would definitely call them before placing a order tho...If they have those tubes for $210 like advertised, and they are NOS, I would jump all over them!

Just asking since being around tube equip on the audio side things canbe rewired to use different tubes.
Here is a link to a site I've used for guitar amps before Think it's like 270 there.

I've managed to get a couple sets of outputs for the Palomar 90A on E-Bay for reasonable prices, but it's only a 2 tube amp. Seeing as the TV sweep tubes aren't nearly as robust as real transmitting tubes and these old amps tend to eat output tubes like candy, other than for the fun of it I'm questioning the worth of bothering with it too much longer. It won't take very many tube replacements to get to the cost of something like a new Dave Made base amp that not overdriven can be a lifetime investment without a lot of the headaches.
