It's a 40 channel fm cb that takes batteries or a power supply and can be used with a supplied telescopic whip or an external anntena it also comes with a speaker mic.

It can be used anywhere or can be used as part of a mobile or home base set up too

Welcome We use AM for CB in the USA so we wouldn't know about your radio unit, but it sounds interesting! Post a picture of your radio if you can please. Thanks

Are those radios still in use in your country? Seems as if FM would be more quite than AM, but what is the range of communication with those and does the signal go far around obstructions? Can you hook mobile antennas to them to use inside your car or use base antennas at your house? I did google search for them to look at them. Any system has it's ups and downs. But thanks for the pics!

Yes people still use fm but a lot also use am ssb and usb yes they can use base and mag mount antenna too I'm unsure as to how the signal travels and such I think it's generally going to best outdoors on a hill etc I think the general range is about 8 miles but obviously this will be less of your in a housing estate or something like that or more of your up high.

The reason I got one I live somewhere atm where my neighbours or my landlord may have a problem with a big antenna and I don't have a loft so a loft antenna is a no go but if I get lucky and move on going to basicly use it as a base and with the size of it that means needing less space to set it up(the squelch is a wheel around the volume knob and that speaker mic is very good much better than the external speaker that I also got with it.
