The mic element I left alone because I didn't know what contact cleaner would do to it. My other Superstar mic is waiting a connector to change it from 5 pin to 4. That SRA158 is starting to interest me.
Heck you may already have a SRA 158...Ranger made these for years and put other names on the front...Galaxy used them, RCI, General Lee's...I have a Galaxy Mic I'm using right now on my Cobra 2000, that looks sorta like the old Cobra Coffin Mic's...says "Galaxy" on the front sticker, but on the bottom back it says Ranger...

The 158's came stock with allot of different brand radios.

I checked all 3 of my galaxy mics and they all have ranger on them. I heard if you open up my new Galaxy base station you will see a ranger board in there so Ranger must be a main supplier for Galaxy if they don't build everything for Galaxy !

Alot of manufacturers are using Ranger boards. Galaxy, Connex to name a few. Tti and Crt(Superstar) in Europe.
But almost everyone is using Rangers IC chip. Even Stryker.
