I changed radios... running a Magnum Delta Force now going into the same box & antenna and the flickering isn't as bad.

I've got plans to run this from the battery for the box...
Then use the currently installed 10ga for the radio...

I'm guessing you got plans for a 10' run'. For your Magnum and 2 Pill Driver your ready to step up to 200A with 4 AWG.
Don't recall source of this table. Have found it most helpful. I see you're employing appropriate AWG.
    13.8V > 105-125A > 10-19' > 4AWG Aught to be good for an 8 Pill.
    8 AWG @</= 19' 50A @</= 13' 65A @</= 10' 85A
8 AWG might be more than adequate and easier to run.
Awh crap! Again can't post an img. Anybody got an idea why? Replying to comment allows display of img, but, upon Save the img takes a dump.

You didn't mention previously what radio you were using. Guessing you get 34W carrier possible with the Magnum?

Previous radios with the flickering light issue were President Ronald and Galaxy 99V...both with input tune at 1w and ~30w carrier.

    That's about the same as my Stryker 955. Don't remember 1W carrier but 1.5W ~ 35W carrier.
My 2 Pill (2290s) M80 will peak at 300W which I feel comfortable with. 2290s are suppose to be 60W RMS. Don't recall 1.5W DK input / carrier output from M80 but I do recall there wasn't tremendous modulation.

The DM M200 is 1X 2290 x 2X 2879. I like to keep with the 1.5W radio DK. Can quickly switch to either M80 or M200 then onto driving the FatBoy8X, or use either driver alone; without concern of toasting anything. If I really want to reach out I can raise radio to 3-4W into the M200 to get a significant boost out of the FB8X. The M200 will DK 200W with 1.5W input.

i'm very conservative; but I do like 5W-30 Hi-Wire Stout (10% gravity). Best tasting cold coffee, anytime of day. Have never pushed the FB8X trying to achieve a new height. Love cold coffee but hate burnt toast. Grandma, bless her soul, it seems always had burnt toast for breakfast. She'd scrape the burnt crust off and gnawed on the remainder.
