Lightbulb "Dummy" AA Cells For Walkie-Talkies...

Easily-made "dummy" AA cells for when using Carbon-Zinc or Alkaline batteries in large CB walkie-talkies.

Ten 1.2-volt rechargeables are usually employed, but only eight 1.5-volt regular batteries are to be used, to prevent damage to the radio. These "dummies" feed through to provide power.

Made from 1/2" (13mm) wood rod, thumbtacks and copper braid (or whatever wire you have), this is a good evening project to get your 'talkie(s) ready for trips or emergencies.

Note: Measure carefully, and make sure that each completed "dummy" is no longer than 50mm, to properly fit in the radio's battery compartment.

    Try it! 🤓
