    True..would that be affecting the shorti setup?...thats working the way it should..i did some 30 mi test with the shorti today... i did key with the sticks on... "Jamaica " on 28 1st key up..
    Now that you say it the mount is adding to the reflector lenth technically..i might be able to make something temp to test that theory tomorrow.

    More i think about noizy's sugg i think you may be right. When i had the mfj on it ..it was incredibly wide banded like the antenna was tall. Even at its lowest setting... possibly using the back door mount as part of the antenna lenth.
    Can i buy one of those insolators off ya noizy?

    Its not that he doesnt know how to do it - hes more than capable. Its the vehicle he's trying to put them on and the big ass sunroof thats taking up valuable sheet metal on a roof thats not long enough to begin with.
