    what is this coax

    i took it in a trade, its andrew rg-8/u hard line. it has c2fp and 84147/h9941 20727 wrote on the jacket. i have looked every where an cant find out any thing. hell it was new so i figured why not.

    Well it might be just as simple as what it says...Andrews hard line. Post a picture, that would help

Size:  171.6 KBhere is a picture where i skined it back. double shield so it cant all be bad. i have never messed with hard line before, so i was just needed to know what i had. thanks

    That appears to be solid core and double stranded braid. If i.didnt k oe better id say it looks loke lmr400, but its too thin. Pretty cool there man. Im not sure but Andrews-something seems to be a good guess.

    Probably the same as LMR 240...which is about the same diameter as RG mini-8, just has the tin shielding over the center core jacket...LMR 240 also requires a reducer to put on the connector...

    LMR 240 does not have the solid center conductor though
