    SWR Checks

Hello all I setup a new Maco V5 (5000) antenna Saturday the 19th of January 2013. It replaced an Antron 99 fiberglass antenna that I had been using for over a year. I just want to check with some of the experts out there and ask if these SWR setting are ok. Channel 1 and channel 20 are reading at 1.2 SWR almost flat. While channel 40 is reading about 1.5. I have two base station radios, a Cobra 2000 GTL and a Uniden President Madison, people tell me the President Madison sounds best on the new maco antenna than the cobra 2000 , before the cobra 2000 sounded best on the Antron 99.

You have your antenna too low!

It needs to be on top of that water tower I see in the back ground!
