    Lightbulb power supply

    what size power supply do i need? if i have 5 2789s 1x4

    a minimum or 10 amps for every 100 watts you expect to get from the amp .... more is better for the PS since it wil run easier/cooler and last longer . for the clean 500-600 watts max the final 4 2879's can do in that amp something 75 amps continuous or more will be nice .

    for the close to a kilowatt that folks that don't understand harmonics AND how power really effects a signal will want to get from it ..... 100 amps minimum .

    I would agree on a 100 amp supply. My friend has 4 2879's and uses an astron 70 which covers it. A 5 pill would need at least 90-100 to run it easily

    I agree with that 123 is building great power supplies. I have one now he built and he is also building me a 1200amp as we speak. I also run his amps I have been with 123 for a long time he will stand behind anything he builds for you. if anyone needs to get ahold of him just pm me and I will give you his number.

    I agree a 1x4 should use a 100 Amp Power Supply to get the most of it.
