Just make sure every time you tune the antenna, you must put the cap back on, the firestik cap. Also make sure when setting your SwR's your not next to objects, like other cars and trucks and building etc... Also make sure you have the doors close on the vehicle. If the SwR's are higher on ch.40 than on ch.1, you need to adjust the tip downward. If its higher on ch.1 than ch.40, then you need to unscrew the tip to make it longer.
Both of my FireStiks tunned flat ch.1 - 40

I feel this needs to get some proper information dispersed into the Quacking. This article is well written and scientifically sound. http://www.copper.com/articles/big_c...s_exposed.html

they had a different antenna when they used there T Antenna . because when I had my BLACK Alcapone T Antenna my signal was a bit louder than the other antenna's and that test was done by my new York stater friends . effiecientcy is only good when your angle of radiation is lower to earth . a lot of these antenna's are way over rated . its a good laugh for me . copper aint got shit on what I do or my friends do in real testing the antenna's . all others can bump on it . lol
