    My new Galaxy DX 949 tuned by Tallman

    First, I had to paint the ugly gold bracket flat black. The radio is "mildly tuned" for longevity. 6 watt dead key swinging to 12 watts. Modulation 95%, Shocky receive mod and noise blank mod. The Galaxy drives the hell out of my 2 pill. These picture are right after the install, all of the wires are tucked away nicely now.

    That's the beauty of the Galaxy radios... adjustable power output! I've been keeping an eye and hand on it, she barely gets warm. I had a buddy of mine radio check me across town and he said she sounded clean and loud. He said I was pounding the hell out of his base station.. lol!

    You'll blow your amp if you use that radio. No more than 5 watts input on a low drive amp.
