Is that the PC 244 on the bottom, looks like a mini grant. Love my PC122xl. And i see you have the 2018 mic, I use that mic on my pc122 and great great reports. Anyway can you take a few close ups of the 244, that radio has me so curious now. Thanks much for any reply and hope to talk soon. God bless and 73's.

    351,

What a great setup. My hats off to you for being the first solar setup I've seen. Thanks for sharing.

Nice looking radios!! Heard someone from down under today briefly, my friend was trying to get back on the big base but conditions faded really fast. Anyway, nice radios, I'm jealous lol. Wish I could get my hands on a new Lincoln 2!!! Looks like the Lincoln 2 is going to be a hit, real clean inside from what've have seen. Dual MOSFET finals as well. Not to say the grant 2 is shabby, if I could in would have both. Hope you receive your radio soon.

It had a repair to the board ( small crack) had its switching transistors replaced and switching diode's, and its electrolic caps replaced ...
Now if anything sounds ring its my doing as not that flash with the bits.... Works very well from all reports so far... Made in the USA ! Well
Rebuilt there better than orig ! Grant people need a lesson in keeping customers informed ... Waiting waiting........

351 and I spoken on 38lsb. 27.385, contact wasn't real long, but long enough for both of us to remember. This was a couple weeks ago. There was someone on 38lsb around 4-5 pm. Couldn't get back to him though.
It will happen again when the conditions are right. But yes silverado 996, the contact was made on 11 meters. I thought it was pretty cool. It's fun to make a contact so far away and having this forum confirmed it lol. God bless and 73's.

That's a great contact for sure and one to be proud of. From Texas on AM / mobile - I've made contact to Hawaii, Jamaica, Canada, Alaska and Porte Rico. On 38LSB on contacts Canada, Alaska running barefoot on SSB / mobile, but running heat on AM.

good luck to the both of you.

    351,

is your setup standard for the folks that live way out in the bush off the grid? It's a cool setup, thanks for sharing.
