With a single magnet mount just putting on the center of the metal roof is the only way know of grounding the antenna at least neatly, most just ground the amp and radio with grounding straps on the interior of vehicle to the car seat bolts work excellent. People I know who grounded magnet mounts for antenna bought those 3 and 4 magnet mounts with SO-239 connector for the antenna. Those heavy duty Magnets with 3 or 4 circular magnets has a steel housing where you can connect a grounding strap and carry into vehicle and connect to hinge of trunk or door of vehicle, then usually have to put ground strap from door or trunk hinge to seat bolt in car or any other good connection to the frame. (Friend did that once stepped up to a 16 pill and used a magnet mount) Once you usually go that big in amp, they go the best way to drill hole in roof, which makes best ground.

You don't need to mechanically ground a magnetic mount antenna. It is grounded via capacitance through the pucks and into the skin of the car. Radio Frequency energy can do some amazing things that D.C. Power cannot. It can travel through paint with ease. That's another good reason to run a three or four puck mount. Remember the purpose of a magnetic mount is for the ease of removal and transference to another vehicle.
