I love those galaxys...especially the dx 959. I know they have been around awhile but I had to try out the Uniden 980ssb...it was on sale and has ssb mode and weather.....i had to try it .......it ain't half bad! I have only 1 complaint in the 4.5 weeks I have been using it. That face scratches easily...although you cannot see it with the radio on and surroundig light at a minimum. Stays righyt on frequency....i will definately give it that.Gets out pretty good on the 102" whip and the firestickII !...no notable difference between the antanas. I will still hold the galaxy at #1....regardless of frequency drift....my .02.
