I use to run a d104 astatic on my Demco Satellite tube base station in the early days and a Turner plus 3 ; but lately I have just used the noise canceling mikes as in my area there is not much traffic to cut through . Power mikes bleed over if not used properly also and distort . I am searching for my turner in the basement but would lower the output and it sounds good . I would never put a power mike over half power . I was looking at the road devil and might get that . I run my hr2510 only with a stock mike .

Ive been using a 636L lately seems to work on all the "hot audio" radios i own... and the volume of audio seems to be plenty. Great at cutting out backround noise.. but you have to get up on that sucker.
If you want "IN YOUR FACE" audio..i like the D104M6 older mic. Its dirty ,tinny, picks up a crap load of backround noise.... sort-a- like just yelling into the mic.

Like Doughboy and D-MAX 2212 had said, I agree 100% with using Ferrite cores, even more than one, on Mic cord to reduce RF works very well. I even do on my Base Station to reduce RF and any noises.

If i run my 2950 with power mic it tends to squeal at around 8000 watts but i put 5 or 6 clamp on ferrites right where it enters the radio and its all good

I have 2 cobra power mics. All though i am not a huge fan, I have one on my everday driver. Took me a while to fiqure out to get it to adjusted right. It is on like 3 or4 out of 10 on the dial. If i turn it above 5 it squels real bad.
